Agropsar is agenus ofAsianbirds in the familySturnidae. It is sometimes merged withSturnus orSturnia

These two species were formerly placed in the genusSturnus. They were moved to the resurrected genusAgropsar based on the results of twomolecular phylogenetic studies published in 2008.[1][2][3]
