Aghabullogue orAghabulloge (Irish:Achadh Bolg, meaning 'field of the cow')[1][2] is a village and parish in the barony ofMuskerry East inCounty Cork,Ireland. It lies around 30 km (19 mi) west ofCork City, south of theBoggeragh Mountains and north of theRiver Lee.
The parish of Aghabullogue includes the villages of Aghabullogue,Coachford andRylane. Thecivil parish consists of31 townlands.[3]
It has apublic house and shop, anational school, community hall and a Roman Catholic church (Saint John's Catholic Church). Saint Olan (or Ólann) is the patron saint of the parish.[4][5]
The localGaelic Athletic Association (GAA) club,Aghabullogue GAA, fields teams inGaelic football andhurling.[citation needed] The club won Cork's firstAll-Ireland in1890.[6]
