Adwaita Charan Gadanayak is an Indian sculptor. He was head of the School of Sculpture at theKalinga Institute of Industrial Technology,Bhubaneswar.[1] He is the director general of theNational Gallery of Modern Art which is under theMinistry of Culture.[2] He was honored with thePadma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian award, by theGovernment of India.[3]
His carvings and concepts includeMahatma Gandhi'sSalt March statue inRajghat,[4] the central memorial structure at theNational Police Memorial,[5] and theStatue of Subhas Chandra Bose atNational War Memorial complex.[6][7][8]
