Adriana Hunter is a British translator of French literature. She is known for translating over 100 French novels, such asFear and Trembling byAmélie Nothomb orThe Girl Who Played Go byShan Sa.She has been short-listed for theIndependent Foreign Fiction Prize twice.In 2011 she won theScott Moncrieff Prize^[1][2][3] for her translation ofVéronique Olmi'sBeside the Sea. In 2013, she won the 27th Annual Translation Prize founded by theFrench-American Foundation and theFlorence Gould Foundation for her translation ofElectrico W byHervé Le Tellier (2013).^[4] She is also a contributor toWords Without Borders.^[5] She lives inKent, England.^[6] In 2017, she became the English translator for new comic albums in theAsterix series.^[7]
