Adrian Holdstock (born 27 April 1970) is a South African cricket umpire and former cricketer who now serves as an ICC international cricket umpire.[1] He is part ofCricket South Africa's umpire panel forfirst-class matches.[2]

Career

Holdstock played forWestern Province between 1989 and 1993 before playing forBoland from 1993 to 1995.[3] After retiring as a cricketer, Holdstock took up umpiring. He made hislist A umpiring debut in 2006 and hisfirst class debut in 2007.[4][5]

In 2011, Holdstock made his international Twenty20 debut.[6] He umpired in threeOne Day International games in 2013.[7] In January 2020, he was named as one of the sixteen umpires for the2020 Under-19 Cricket World Cup tournament in South Africa.[8]

On 26 December 2020, Holdstock stood in his firstTest match as an umpire, in the first Testbetween South Africa and Sri Lanka.[9]

He was selected as one of the match officials for2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup.[10]In March 2023, Holdstock andAhsan Raza from Pakistan were inducted into theElite Panel of ICC Umpires afterAleem Dar left the panel.[11][12]

He was one of the sixteen match officials for2023 Cricket World Cup.[13][14]
