Adlington (Cheshire) railway station serves the village ofAdlington, inCheshire, England. It is a stop on theStafford-Manchester line, a spur of theWest Coast Main Line.
Opened by theLondon and North Western Railway, it became part of theLondon, Midland and Scottish Railway during theGrouping of 1923. The line then passed on to theLondon Midland Region of British Railways onnationalisation in 1948.
Whensectorisation was introduced, the station was served byRegional Railways until theprivatisation of British Rail.
The station is now unstaffed and there is a ticket machine. A car park is available for railway users.[1]
