Adeline "Addie" Maud McKinlay (January 13, 1868 inDubuque - July 6, 1955 in New York City) was an Americantennis player.
Adeline McKinlay was born January 13, 1865 inDubuque, Iowa. Her father was a Scottish immigrant, whose name was often mistaken for "McKinley." She graduated fromVassar College in 1888 and began training for theUS Women's National Championship.[1]
She notably won the US Women's National Championship in1892 in women's doubles withMabel Cahill.[2] McKinlay went on to represent theNew York Tennis Club. After settling in New York, she married Horace Hatch on 12 October 1893 in the First Baptist Church, Manhattan.[3]
McKinley died on July 6, 1955 in New York City. She left a son and a daughter.
