Adelaide Productions Inc. (also referred to asColumbia TriStar Television Animation, and laterSony Pictures Television Animation) is a television animation division ofSony Pictures Television that was founded on April 12, 1993, byColumbia Pictures Television.[1] Unlike other animation studios, it does not have an official logo of its own, in which the parent company's logo is used instead after credits.
After a period of dormancy, Adelaide Productions became a television production division forSony Pictures Animation in 2018.[2] In 2022, Adelaide's production capabilities were taken over by Chuck Productions, Inc., a subsidiary of Sony Pictures Animation, while Silvergate Media was rebranded asSony Pictures Television Kids. Adelaide Productions remains an active subsidiary ofSony Pictures Television, holding the copyrights to its previous productions.[1]
