Adam Stockhausen is an Americanproduction designer known for his collaborations withWes Anderson,Steven Spielberg, andSteve McQueen. He's received four nominations for theAcademy Award for Best Production Design, winning forThe Grand Budapest Hotel (2014).

Early life and education

Stockhausen grew up inWauwatosa, Wisconsin and graduated with aTheater Arts degree fromMarquette University'sDiederich College of Communication in 1995,[1] and a Master of Fine Arts from theYale School of Drama in 1999.[2]

Career

Stockhausen, along with set decoratorAnna Pinnock won theAcademy Award for Best Production Design for the 2014 filmThe Grand Budapest Hotel.[3] Previously he was nominated for theAcademy Award for Best Production Design for the 2013 film12 Years a Slave together with set decoratorAlice Baker. He was also nominated for theAcademy Award for Best Production Design for the 2015 filmBridge of Spies along with set decoratorsBernhard Henrich andRena DeAngelo.
