Adam Resnick is an American comedy writer fromHarrisburg, Pennsylvania. He is best known for his work writing forLate Night with David Letterman.[1]
He co-created and wrote forGet a Life withChris Elliott. Resnick also wrote and was co-executive producer of a season ofThe Larry Sanders Show forHBO. He created and wroteThe High Life (1996), also for HBO. Also for television, he has written forSaturday Night Live, and is a writer and consulting producer onDivorce.[2]
Resnick has also written for film. With its star, Chris Elliott, Resnick created the story for the 1994 motion pictureCabin Boy, for which he wrote the screenplay. Resnick wrote the screenplays forLucky Numbers (2000), starringJohn Travolta andLisa Kudrow, andDeath to Smoochy (2002), directed byDanny DeVito.
Will Not Attend, a pseudo-memoir, was released in 2014.[3]Kirkus Reviews called the book "a neurotic, unapologetic, hilarious collection."[4]
