• Aconteus, anEthiopian chief who was onPerseus' side at the moment of the fight between the hero andPhineus at the court ofCepheus,Andromeda's father. He was turned into a stone when he saw the head ofMedusa.^[1]
• Aconteus, anArcadian who fought in the army of theSeven against Thebes. He was killed byPhegeus, during the war.^[2]
• Acontius, a man fromCeos who fell in love withCydippe and threw at her an apple in order to trick her into marriage.^[3]
