Acefylline (INN),[1] also known as7-theophyllineacetic acid, is astimulantdrug of thexanthinechemical class. It acts as anadenosine receptorantagonist. It is combined withdiphenhydramine in thepharmaceuticalpreparationetanautine to help offset diphenhydramine induced drowsiness.[2]
Asilanol–mannuronic acid conjugate of acefylline,acefylline methylsilanol mannuronate (INCI; trade nameXantalgosil C) is marketed as alipolyticphosphodiesterase inhibitor. It is used as an ingredient incosmeceuticals for the treatment ofcellulite and as a skin conditioner.[3][4]
