Oceanid in Greek mythology

InGreek mythology,Acaste (orAkaste;/əˈkæst/;Ancient Greek: Ακαστη) was one of the 3,000Oceanids, the daughters of theTitansOceanus and his sister-spouseTethys.[1] According to theHomeric Hymn 2 to Demeter, Acaste was, along with several of her Oceanid sisters, one of the companions ofPersephone who were picking flowers with her when she was abducted byHades.[2]
