Acamantis (Greek:Ακαμαντίς,romanizedAkamantis) was one of thephylai (tribes) ofclassical Athens, created during the reforms ofCleisthenes.[1] It was named after the legendary heroAcamas, and included thedemes ofCholargos,Eiresidai,Hermos,Iphistiadai,Kerameis,Kephale,Poros,Thorikos,Eitea,Hagnous,Kikynna,Prospalta andSphettos.[2]

Pericles was a member of this tribe.[3]
