Ab Dilli Dur Nahin (transl. Now Delhi is not far away)[a] is a 1957 Indian Hindi-language film directed by Amar Kumar and written byRajinder Singh Bedi and Muhafiz Hyder. The film was produced byRaj Kapoor and starredYakub,Anwar Hussain,Motilal,Jagdeep andAmjad Khan (in a very minor role).[2]
It follows a young boy in 1951 who travels to Delhi, wanting to meet Prime MinisterJawaharlal Nehru to seek justice for his father who has been wronglysentenced to death.
The music forAb Dilli Dur Nahin was composed byDattaram, the lyrics penned byShailendra andHasrat Jaipuri, including the popular song "Chun Chun Karti Aayi Chidiya".
The film premiered in 1957.
