Aakhari Poratam (transl. Final Battle) is a 1988 IndianTelugu-languageromantic action film written and directed byK. Raghavendra Rao based on the novel of the same name byYandamuri Veerendranath. Produced byC. Aswini Dutt, it starredNagarjuna,Sridevi andSuhasini with music composed byIlaiyaraaja.[1] It was featured at the12th IFFI Indian panorama mainstream section, and turned out to be a box office hit.[2]

Plot

CBI Deputy Chief Pravallika is on a mission to apprehend aMafia don disguised as religious leader Anantananda Swamy. Swamy is involved in criminal activities such asillegal drug trade,extortion, andarms trafficking. Singer and performer Vihari helps Pravallika in thisCovert operation. Pravallika accomplishes the mission, and dies in the final battle between Police and Swamy's Gang.
