Aaiyat (Arabic:عين زهر النبات، عيات) is a town inAkkar Governorate,Lebanon. It's Located on the side of Helena Mountain inChakqouf and betweenBeino Village and Al - Burj Village.

The population is mostlySunni Muslim.[2]

Name

The Main Name: The ( Eye of Plant flower عين زهر النبات ) is the definition ofSpartium junceum plant that has a yellow flowers & it was used in the town for engagment celebrations for its beautiful smell and cleaning .

History

In 1838,Eli Smith noted the place as 'Ayat, located east ofesh-Sheikh Mohammed. The inhabitants wereSunni Muslim.[3]

It was the Governance Center of Mera'abi Family Princess in Akkar.
