Thom Jurek ofAllMusic gave the album a positive review and wrote "This is a stellar live offering, impeccably performed and recorded"[4]

A Son de Guerra Tour debuted and peaked at number 80 on theBillboard 200.[5] It also peaked and debuted at number one in theBillboardTop Latin Albums andTropical Albums charts.[6][7]A Son de Guerra Tour won theContemporary Tropical Album in2013.[8]
