A Horse Fly Fleas is a 1947Warner Bros.Looney Tunes cartoon short. It was written byWarren Foster and directed byRobert McKimson.[2] The short was released on December 13, 1947.[3]
The short stars A.Flea, the nearly-microscopicprotagonist ofAn Itch in Time from 1943. It does not air that often in television due tostereotypical portrayals of Native Americans.
Originally released inCinecolor, the cartoon was reissued in three-stripTechnicolor during the 1955–56 season.
A. Flea tries to find a good home. He is accompanied by a horse fly. They settle on a dog, not knowing that it is the house of an Indian flea.
This cartoon was released on DVD and Blu-ray with the original titles and Cinecolor version restored on theLooney Tunes Platinum Collection: Volume 2.
