A.S.D. S.S. Nola 1925 is anItalian association football club based inNola, Campania.Currently it is the main team of Nola and plays in the fifth-tierEccellenza.[1]
The origins of football in Nola go back to 1924 when was foundedUnione Sportiva Nola, changing its name toSocietà Sportiva Nola in 1990. It has played inSerie C1 andSerie C2. In the summer 1996, has filed for bankruptcy.
Nola was refounded in 1996 asVirtus Nola 1925 and was renamed in 1997 and in 1998 respectivelySanità Nola andComprensorio Nola. In the 2000–01 season the club won the
Coppa Italia Dilettanti, obtaining direct promotion toSerie D, after having won theRegional Coppa Italia Campania. In 2002 it transferred its sports title ofSerie D toS.S. Juve Stabia.
A.S.D. Sporting Nola was founded in summer 2002 by Nolan football fans, asF.C. Sporting Nola. The team currently plays inPromozione Campania.
Boys Nola 2004 was founded in summer 2004. Thanks to the merger withAtletico, the club took part directly to2007–08 Eccellenza Campania with the new name ofA.S.D. Atletico Nola. Since the season 2011–12 it plays inEccellenza Campania[2] inSan Giorgio a Cremano.[3] In the summer 2012 the club was renamedA.S.D. Atletico Vesuvio thus ceasing every bond of the city ofNola.
In summer 2011G.S.D. Nuvla San Felice was born after the merger ofG.S. Capriatese (based inCapriati a Volturno and playing inSerie D) and the football academySan Feliciano ofSan Felice a Cancello. In summer 2012 its sports title ofSerie D was transferred toGladiator and so it was dissolved.[4]
In the 2012–13 season the main football club of the city has beenA.S.D. Real S.M. Hyria Nola 2012, thanks to PresidentRosario Gaglione, who has transferred here the formerTurris from the city ofTorre del Greco.[5][6]
In summer 2013 Gaglione has given the team sport title toF.C. Real Città di Vico Equense coming so excluded from Italian football.However a new club was refounded soon after, restarting inPromozione. It took the nameASD SS Nola 1925.

The colors ofSporting Nola, the main team ofNola, are white and black, like those of the historicS.S. Nola.
