Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica Calcio Ivrea commonly referred to asA.S.D. Calcio Ivrea or simplyIvrea is anItalian association football club, based inIvrea,Piedmont that plays in the regionalEccellenza.
The club founded in 1901 asU.S. Ivrea Calcio was refounded in 2010, after its dissolution the previous year, asA.S.D. Montalto Ivrea after thatU.S.D. Montaltese has transferred the seat fromMontalto Dora to this town. In 2012 the club was renamed with the current name.
Unione Sportiva Ivrea Calcio was founded in 1901, with its Football Division founded in 1918.[2]
U.S. Ivrea Calcio played 2005–2006 inSerie C2/A, and won the promotion play-offs beatingA.C. Carpenedolo in the finals, being therefore promoted toSerie C1, but promptly relegated after having lost the relegation play-out the next season.
In the summer of 2009, the club failed to register inLega Pro Seconda Divisione and disbanded.
In the summer 2010U.S.D. Montaltese, after the 9th place in 2009–10Promozione Piedmont and Aosta Valley group B,[3] transferred its seat fromMontalto Dora[4] toIvrea and was renamedA.S.D. Montalto Ivrea,[5] after the dissolution of the historicalU.S. Ivrea Calcio the previous year.[6]
In the 2010–11 season, it played always inPromozione Piedmont and Aosta Valley group B ranking 2nd in the league and 3rd in the subsequent playoffs.
In the season 2011–12 it was promoted toEccellenza after winning the group B ofPromozione Piedmont and Aosta Valley group B, also conquering the regional Scudetto of Promozione.
In the summer 2012 the club that plays inEccellenza Piedmont and Aosta Valley group A was renamedA.S.D. Calcio Ivrea, thus becoming the newIvrea.[7]
