Stock car races in theNASCARXfinity Series have been held atNorth Carolina Speedway from the series' inception in1982 until2004, and again since 2025. The race is currently known for sponsorship reasons as theNorth Carolina Education Lottery 250.

The race was originally a 197-lap race from the series' inception in1982 until2004 (with a second race between 1984 and 2003, except in 1987), after which Rockingham was removed from both the Busch as well asNextel Cup Series schedules as a result of theFerko lawsuit.

The track returned to both the Xfinity and theTruck series in 2025. The 2025 race is scheduled to run for 250 laps/miles.

Mark Martin has the most wins in the second-division Rockingham races with 12.Jamie McMurray was the latest driver to win at Rockingham.

The 2025 race will markKasey Kahne's first NASCAR start since the2018 Southern 500.
