TheA515 is aprimary route inEngland, which runs fromLichfield inStaffordshire toBuxton inDerbyshire.
The A515 begins off theA51 road just outside Lichfield. It crosses theTrent and Mersey Canal and passes through the villages ofKings Bromley andYoxall. As it crosses theRiver Dove, the road enters Derbyshire. NearSudbury the road brieflyfollows the route of theA50 road, before heading northwards again. The road goes throughAshbourne, and shortly afterwards enters thePeak District National Park. It passes through several villages includingFenny Bentley andNewhaven The road terminates in Buxton at itsroundabout with theA53 road.
In 2020, there a consultation occurred proposing routes for a north–south bypass of the town.[1] The western routes proposed provide a direct bypass, while the eastern routes travel around the town.
