30th legislative term of the Philippines
The9th Congress of the Philippines (Filipino :Ikasiyam na Kongreso ng Pilipinas ), composed of thePhilippine Senate andHouse of Representatives , met from July 27, 1992, until June 9, 1995, during the first three years ofFidel Ramos's presidency . The convening of the 9thCongress follows the1992 national elections , where, under the transitory provisions of theConstitution , the first 12 senators who garnered the highest votes would have a six-year term while the next 12 senators would have a three-year term and the entire membership of the House of Representatives was replaced.

He waselected again on August 30, 1993 , and retook office on September 6, 1993.^ Gerardo Roxas Jr. died on April 4, 1993.^ Mar Roxas waselected on August 30, 1993 , to succeedGerardo Roxas Jr. . He took office on September 1, 1993.^ Macabangkit Lanto was removed by theHouse of Representatives Electoral Tribunal on July 22, 1994, after an electoral protest. ^ Mario Hisuler took office on October 5, 1994, after winning an electoral protest against Macabangkit Lanto. ^ Joker Arroyo was removed by theHouse of Representatives Electoral Tribunal on January 25, 1995. Arroyo's removal was reversed by theSupreme Court on July 14, 1995.[ 1] ^ Tito Espinosa was assassinated on February 28, 1995.^ Manuel Sanchez was removed by theSupreme Court on December 7, 1993, after an electoral protest. ^ Gilberto Duavit Sr. waselected on March 7, 1994 , to succeed Manuel Sanchez.^ Joseph Sibug died on February 14, 1994.
