992 Swasey is an asteroid, aminor planet orbiting theSun. It was discovered byOtto Struve in 1922 at theYerkes Observatory inWilliams Bay,Wisconsin, United States. It is named afterAmbrose Swasey of theWarner & Swasey Company, which built the 82-inch telescope named after Struve atMcDonald Observatory.[2]
