8th Secretariat of the Chinese Communist Party

Chinese government body

The8th Secretariat, formally theSecretariat of the 8th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, was nominated by the8th Politburo Standing Committee and approved by the 1st Plenary Session of the11th Central Committee on 28 September 1956. The Secretariat was abolished by the9th National Congress in 1969 and did not resurface until the formation of the11th Secretariat in 1980.

  3. ^Li Fuchun andLi Xiannian were elected to the Secretariat by a decision of the 5th Plenary Session of the8th Central Committee on 25 May 1958.[4]
  4. ^Lu Dingyi andLuo Ruiqing were elected the Secretariat by a decision of the 10th Plenary Session of the8th Central Committee on 24–27 September 1962 and dismissed by a decision of the8th Politburo in May 1966.[4]
