87North Productions is an American independent filmproduction company focused on the production of action films and founded byDavid Leitch and his wife, and producing partner, Kelly McCormick.[1] Their credited productions include theJohn Wick franchise, starringKeanu Reeves, andBullet Train, starringBrad Pitt, which Leitch directed. In television, Leitch and McCormick have several projects in development, includingMy Friend Pedro, based on the video game series.[2]

Under 87North'sfirst-look deal withUniversal Pictures, in 2024 Leitch directed and McCormick and Leitch producedThe Fall Guy, a big screen take on the1980s television show starringRyan Gosling andEmily Blunt.[3]

December 10, 2025,Braden Aftergood joined the company to lead the film division.[4]

History

On April 22, 2019, 87North Productions signed a deal withUniversal Pictures, and in the process, acquired the 2021 filmNobody fromSTX Entertainment.[5]

Projects in development

87North has several projects in development with Universal. This includesKung Fu andVersus.[6] Also in development are the feature filmsRuby, a female assassin action feature written by Kat Wood forAmazon,[7] and an untitled film based off and starring American rock bandWeezer.[8] For television, Leitch and McCormick have several projects in development, includingMy Friend Pedro, based onthe video game of the same name.[9]
