The75thVenice International Film Festival was held from 29 August to 8 September 2018, atVenice Lido inItaly.

Mexican filmmakerGuillermo del Toro was the jury president for the main competition.[1][2] Italian actorMichele Riondino hosted the opening and closing nights of the festival.[3] TheGolden Lion was awarded toRoma byAlfonso Cuarón.[4]

The festival poster was made by Italian artistLorenzo Mattotti, who designed it in the way "that attracts the eye, that attracts thought, but without revealing too much."[5]

The festival opened withFirst Man byDamien Chazelle,[6] and closed withDriven byNick Hamm.
