687 Tinette is aminor planet, specifically anasteroid orbiting primarily in theasteroid belt. It was discovered by Austrian astronomerJohann Palisa on 16 August 1909 fromVienna and was given the preliminary designation 1909 HG.

Photometric observations at the Palmer Divide Observatory inColorado Springs, Colorado, in 1999 were used to build alight curve for this object. The asteroid displayed arotation period of 7.40 ± 0.02 hours and a brightness variation of 0.25 ± 0.01 inmagnitude.[2]
