681 Gorgo is aminor planet orbiting theSun.

'Gorgo' is German forGorgon. However,Ingrid van Houten-Groeneveld andAntonio Paluzie-Borrell suggest it may refer to "King of Salamine, in the 5th century B.C., who accompanied Xerxes in Greece."[2]
