651 Antikleia is amain-beltasteroid discovered on 4 October 1907 byAugust Kopff at theHeidelberg-Königstuhl State Observatory.[1] It is named forAnticlea the mother ofOdysseus.[9]The name may have been inspired by the asteroid's provisional designation1907 AN.

Antikleia is a member of the dynamicEos family of asteroids that most likely formed as the result of a collisional breakup of a parent body.[10]
