The63rdGolden Globe Awards, honoring the best infilm andtelevision for2005, were presented on January 16, 2006, at theBeverly Hilton Hotel, inLos Angeles,California.[1][2][3] The nominations were announced on December 13, 2005.[4][5][6]

The ceremony aired on Monday rather than its traditional Sunday after the previous year ceremony's ratings were negatively impacted by the popularity ofDesperate Housewives.[7]
