5F-NNE1 (also known as5F-NNEI and5F-MN-24) is anindole-basedsynthetic cannabinoid that is presumed to be a potentagonist of theCB1 receptor and has been sold online as adesigner drug.[1][2] Given the known metabolic liberation (and presence as an impurity) ofamantadine in the related compoundAPINACA, it is suspected that metabolic hydrolysis of the amide group of 5F-NNE1 may release1-naphthylamine, a knowncarcinogen.
