5-Methylmethiopropamine (5-MMPA,mephedrene) is astimulant drug which is a ring-substituted derivative ofmethiopropamine. It is not asubstituted cathinone derivative likemephedrone, as it lacks aketone group at the β position of the aliphatic side chain, but instead more closely resemblessubstituted amphetamines. It has been sold as adesigner drug, first being identified in Germany in June 2020.[1][2][3]
