The41st British Academy Film Awards, more commonly known as theBAFTAs, took place on 20 March 1988 at theGrosvenor House Hotel inLondon, honouring the best national and foreign films of1987. Presented by theBritish Academy of Film and Television Arts, accolades were handed out for the best feature-length film and documentaries of any nationality that were screened at British cinemas in 1987.[1][2]
Claude Berri'sJean de Florette won the award forBest Film.[3]Sean Connery andAnne Bancroft took home Best Actor and Actress, whilstDaniel Auteuil andSusan Wooldridge won in the supporting categories.
The ceremony was hosted byMichael Aspel.
