395 Delia is a largeMain beltasteroid. It was discovered by the French astronomerAuguste Charlois on 30 November 1894 inNice. "Delia" is an epithet for the ancient Greco-RomanMoon goddessArtemis, for her birthplace atDelos.[4] This asteroid is orbiting theSun at a distance of2.79 AU with anorbital eccentricity (ovalness) of 0.085 and aperiod of 4.64 yr. Theorbital plane is tilted at an angle of 3.35° to theplane of the ecliptic.[2]

This is a dark, carbonaceous body with a low albedo of 0.03 and is classified as aC-type asteroid in theTholen taxonomy. It has an estimated cross-section of 44.2[2] km/s and is spinning with arotation period of 19.7 hours.[3]
