350 Ornamenta is a relatively largemain-beltasteroid, measuring 118 km indiameter. It is classified as aC-type asteroid and is probably composed ofcarbonaceous material.

Ornamenta was discovered byAuguste Charlois on 14 December 1892, inNice,France. It was named in 1905 in honor ofAntoinette Horneman, who was a member of theSociété astronomique de France.[2]

During 2002, the asteroid was observedocculting a star. The resultingchords provided a diameter estimate of 99.5 km.[3]

This object is the namesake of afamily of 14–93 asteroids that share similar spectral properties andorbital elements; hence they may have arisen from the same collisional event. All members have a relatively highorbital inclination.[4]
