Themeridian 30° west ofGreenwich is a line oflongitude[1] that extends from theNorth Pole across theArctic Ocean,Greenland, theAtlantic Ocean, theSouthern Ocean, andAntarctica to theSouth Pole.
The 30th meridian west forms agreat circle with the150th meridian east, and it is the reference meridian for the time zoneUTC-2.
Between the45th and61st parallels north, the meridian forms the boundary between theGander andShanwick Oceanicair traffic control areas, and for this reason is also known as the "Molson-Guinness Line".[2]
