On 28 July 2019, asuicidecar bombing occurred in theKabul office of theVice Presidential candidateAmrullah Saleh. The bombing killed over 20 and injured over 50, including slightly wounding Saleh.[1] Four gunmen then stormed the building and laidsiege for hours before being killed.[2]
Twenty people were killed, and 50 others wounded, includingAmrullah Saleh who was slightly injured in the blast.[1]
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attack butISIL and theTaliban both frequently carry out attacks in this region.[3]
