The2028 Washington gubernatorial election will be held on November 7, 2028, to elect thegovernor of Washington. Thetop-two primary will be held on August 1. IncumbentDemocratic GovernorBob Ferguson will be eligible to seek re-election to a second term and has filed paperwork to do so.[1]
Washington is one of two states that holds atop-two primary, meaning that all candidates are listed on the same ballot regardless of party affiliation, and the top two advance to the general election.
