Map of Ohio's congressional districts as passed by the Ohio Redistricting Commission on October 31, 2025 and will be used for the 2026 House elections[ 2] Interactive map version As a part of ongoing redistricting efforts across the nation, theOhio Republican Party held a special redistricting session and redrew the state's congressional map in order to benefit the Republican Party. Republicans initially planned for a map that would have resulted in a 13 Republican to 2 Democrat representation in the state, netting the party 3 seats. In October 2025, a bipartisan group reached a deal that resulted in a map that madeOhio's 1st and9th congressional district more Republican friendly. Democrats protected the Akron-area13th congressional district , which was redrawn to be slightly more friendly towards Democrats. The redrawn maps are expected to increase Republican chances to flipOH-1 andOH-9 which Republican nomineeDonald Trump would have won in the2024 presidential election by three and eleven points respectively.[ 3]
