The2026 Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts election is scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026, to select the nextTexas Comptroller of Public Accounts. IncumbentRepublican Party ComptrollerGlenn Hegar was elected to a third term with 56.4% of the vote in2022; he resigned on July 1, 2025, to becomechancellor of theTexas A&M University System and was succeeded by his chief clerkKelly Hancock as acting Comptroller.[1]
