The2026 Iowa House of Representatives election will be held on November 3, 2026, alongside theIowa Senate election and the other2026 United States elections.^[1] Voters will elect members of theIowa House of Representatives in all 100 of theU.S. state ofIowa's legislative districts to serve a two-year term.^[2]

• District 7:Mike Sexton retired to accept a federal appointment in theUSDA.^[3]
• District 11:Brian Best is retiring.^[4]
• District 15:Matt Windschitl is retiring to run for US House.^[5]
• District 43:Eddie Andrews is retiring to run for governor.^[6]
• District 65:Shannon Lundgren is retiring to run for US House.^[7]

• District 20:Josh Turek is retiring to run for US Senate.^[8]
• District 32:Jennifer Konfrst is retiring to run for US House.^[9]
• District 39:Rick Olson is retiring.^[10]
• District 71:Lindsay James is retiring to run for US House.^[11]
• District 98:Monica Kurth is retiring.^[12]

Incumbent DemocratJ. D. Scholten was initially running for US Senate againstJoni Ernst, but dropped out endorsing fellow State Rep.Josh Turek.^[13]

His intentions are unknown as to whether or not he is going to run for his seat again.

Incumbent RepublicanMegan Jones will run for re-election.^[14]

SpeakerPat Grassley announced he is running for re-election, instead of a gubernatorial bid.^[22] Dr. Shawn Ellerbroek,Wartburg College professor of biochemistry, announced his bid for this seat as a Democrat.^[23]

India May is running against incumbentCharley Thomson.^[24] Thomson has not announced if he is running.

Incumbent RepublicanShannon Lundgren is retiring to run forIowa's 2nd congressional district in the US House.^[7]

Central Dewitt Principal George Pickup is running for this house seat as a Democrat.^[25] IncumbentNorlin Mommsen has not announced whether or not he is running.
