A general election will be held in theU.S. state ofAlabama on November 3, 2026. Primary elections will take place on May 19, 2026.

Primary elections take place in Alabama when more than one candidate in one of the two major parties files to run for an office. Candidate qualifying for theAlabama Republican Party will officially open on January 5, 2026, and will close on January 23.[1]

Any ballot measures need to be approved by theAlabama House of Representatives and theAlabama Senate. One ballot measure currently certified is theAdd to List of Non-Bailable Offenses Amendment. The amendment numbers will be certified closer to the election date.
