Maya Joint defeatedAlexandra Eala in the final, 6–4, 1–6, 7–6(12–10) to win the women's singles tennis title at the2025 Eastbourne Open.[1] It was her secondWTA Tour singles title, and she saved four championship points in the final-set tiebreak. Joint was the first Australian woman to win the tournament, and the first to reach the final sinceWendy Turnbull in1983.
Eala was the first player from thePhilippines to reach a WTA final in the tour's 54-year history, and the first player from Southeast Asia to reach a WTA tour singles final sinceTamarine Tanasugarn in2010.[2]
