The2025 County Championship , known for sponsorship reasons as theRothesay County Championship 2025 ,[ 1] cricket County Championship season in England and Wales.[ 2] [ 3] [ 4] [ 5] [ 6] Surrey were the defending champions.[ 7] Nottinghamshire won the title for the seventh time in the club's history and the first since2010 .[ 8] [ 9]
