Pre-season and friendlies

On 23 May, Salford City announced they would begin pre-season with a fixture againstWitton Albion.[38] Three weeks later, three further friendlies were confirmed againstCurzon Ashton,Chester andAshton United.[39][40] Two home friendlies were next added, againstBlackpool andStockport County.[41] On 13 June, the club announced their full pre-season schedule with the addition offFC United of Manchester andYork City added.[42] A replacement friendly for the cancelled fixture was confirmed to be againstWarrington Rylands.[43]
