The2025–26 season is the127th season in the history ofBayern Munich, and the club's 61st consecutive season in the top flight ofGerman football. In addition to thedomestic league, the club is participating in this season's editions of theDFB-Pokal,Franz Beckenbauer Supercup and theUEFA Champions League.
On 29 October 2025, the team brokeAC Milan's record of winning the first 13 matches of the season for the best start in Europe's top five leagues, after surpassing their own2012–13 record of 12 matches. They further extended the record to 16 consecutive victories by 4 November.
The season is the first since2007–08 without club legend andWorld Cup winnerThomas Müller, who has won 34 major trophies throughout his career, making him the most decorated German footballer of all time.[1] The season is also the first since2014–15 withoutKingsley Coman, as he joinedSaudi clubAl-Nassr, as well as the first since2019–20 withoutLeroy Sané, as he joinedTurkish championsGalatasaray.
