The Demon Deacons were led byDave Clawson in his eleventh and final year as the head coach. The Demon Deacons played their home games atAllegacy Federal Credit Union Stadium located inWinston-Salem, North Carolina.

On December 16, Clawson announced he would be stepping down as the Demon Deacons' coach and move into an advisory role.^[1] Two days later, December 18,Washington State head coachJake Dickert was announced as the program's new head coach.^[2]
