The2024 Supercopa Uruguaya, officially known as the2024 Supercopa Uruguaya – 300 Años de Montevideo,[1] was the seventh edition of theSupercopa Uruguaya,Uruguay'sfootballsuper cup. It was held on 31 January 2024 between the2023 Primera División championsLiverpool and the2023 Torneo Intermedio runners-upDefensor Sporting atParque Alfredo Víctor Viera inMontevideo.[2]
Liverpool defeated Defensor Sporting 1–0 to win their third Supercopa Uruguaya title.[3]
The Supercopa Uruguaya is usually contested by the champions of thePrimera División and theTorneo Intermedio winners of the previous year, however sinceLiverpool won both tournaments, their rival for the match was the Torneo Intermedio runners-upDefensor Sporting.[4]
Starting from this edition, the competition was expected to also include theCopa Uruguay champions,[5] however, this did not happen since scheduling delays forced the2023 Copa Uruguay to be concluded in April 2024.
